Most edit symbols used in the IUCLID user interface are self-explanatory. The following table lists the most common ones.

Edit symbol	Explanation
	Add: Provides a new empty input area for an additional instance of the repeatable information, which can be a single field or a block of fields
	Down / Up: Changes the order of the repeatable information blocks
	Unfold / Fold: Opens or closes a data entry field or area
	Go to: Navigates to data associated to the data currently displayed
	Link: Brings up a pop up window in which the user can create or follow links to an inventory
	Flag: Set the flag system
	Freetext template: Adds a Freetext template to a text area
	Attachment: Adds a document to the current object
	Delete: Deletes current object
