The first step of data migration involves data cleansing, i.e. the process of preparing the IUCLID 4 datasets for migration to IUCLID 5. This process can be kept at a minimum and the following measures are recommended:
Order numbers in IUCLID 4 sections 1.6.1 Labelling and 1.6.2 Classification: Insert order numbers in the case of multiple labellings and corresponding classifications of the same type (e.g. “provisionally by the manufacturer”). Make sure that all classification entries that belong to the same labelling with order number n (e.g. 1) are assigned to the same order number. All the classifications used for the labelling have to be present (e.g. for the labelling R40 there has to be a classification R40 with the same order number). In case only one classification entry exists that is referenced from two different labelling entries, the classification entry should be duplicated. If no order numbers are explicitly entered, all labellings of the same type will be merged and duplicates will be lost. The same holds true for all classifications of the same type.
A classification record can only be migrated if the class of danger corresponds with the R-phrases. If the R-phrases entry contain R-phrases which are not related to the class of danger indicated, the data will be migrated to the migration report.
On the IUCLID 5 side, you should ensure that
the EC directory is imported from the same download site where IUCLID 5 is available.
the Reference substances are imported from the same download site where IUCLID 5 is available.
