Once a Legal entity has been created or imported (see chapter D.9.2 Feature Legal entity: how to create a Legal entity), it can be updated or edited from the (link) Task Panel.
To open a Legal entity, follow these steps:
Go Home to the Task Panel if you are not already there.
Under Legal entity , click Update. A screen comes up with empty windows on the right side and a Query results pane on the left (below the title bar Navigation) showing all Legal entities (both official and non official) in your IUCLID installation or the network you are connected to. The Legal entities are listed in alphabetical order. Legal entities of "Active trade partners" are shown in bold (see chapter screenshot below).
If you can easily find the desired Legal entity, just double-click it (left mouse button) to open it.
In the case of a large number of Legal entities listed, run a query as described in chapter D.9.3.2 Querying for a Legal entity in the Query results
If the list of Legal Entities does not appear, check the query limit set in the User preference menu (see chapter D.16.5.3 Tab "Query limit": Setting query limits). If the User preference menu cannot be displayed, contact the local IUCLID administrator.
From each entry in the query results list a context menu can be opened (right mouse click) as shown in the screenshot above. The context menu offers the following commands:
Open for opening the Legal entity (as an alternative method to double-click).
Print for printing the Legal entity.
Export for exporting the Legal entity.
Active trade partner for switching the status of the Legal entity e.g. from active to inactive .
Delete for deleting the Legal entity.
In the Query results pane, you can run a query as follows:
Click into the Find / Filter pane below the Query title bar.
Enter the Legal entity name or part of the name for the desired Legal entity. For example "leg" will filter out all Legal entities containing this search string. The more unequivocal the entered text is, the better the search for the desired Legal entity can be narrowed down.
Do not use * as a wildcard for truncated queries. Just enter any string (even part of the name). Queries are not case-sensitive. For detailed instruction on how to conduct queries in IUCLID, see chapter D.15 Query and search
Once you have found the desired Legal entity, double-click to open it. The user interface changes as the Legal entity section is displayed in the Data entry window together the Information pane.
When a Legal entity has been opened, the data entry window appears. The user interface appearing now is split into the following parts:
