The status "Active trade partner" offers the possibility to get a condensed selection of Legal entities. It is useful in two cases:
To reduce the number of results in a query where you may opt for the option to query only in the pool of active Legal entities.
To "clean up" the Legal entity inventory when Legal entities are duplicated. This may happen after exchanging datasets between IUCLID instances in which the same information was created e.g. to define a supplier. In this case, the 'Active trade partner' functionality enables to mark the preferred record among the several ones existing in the IUCLID database. 'Active' Legal entities are displayed in bold.
When a new Legal entity is created at the IUCLID web site and imported into a IUCLID local installation or when a Legal entity is directly created in the local IUCLID installation, it is by default considered as an Active trade partner. Assigning or de-assigning the option "Active trade partner" is feasible by activating the context menu in the Legal entity query result area (see chapter D.9.3.1 Query result pane).
The modification of the status from Active to Non active (and vice versa) will not modify the history in the Information panel (see chapter D.4.9.2 Tab "Modification history") of the Legal entity.
